A Sneak Peek Behind the Curtain (Etiquette: Punctuality)

A few days ago I posted a mini rant on Twitter (you know the kind, limited to 144 characters).  It went something like this:  "Sessions are not job interviews. Do NOT be 10 minutes early. #Etiquette #EscortIssues #NotReady #DontLurk"  Afterwards I felt bad because I couldn't elaborate on it.  So, I'm going to use this forum to further explain the issue.


As many jobs do, this one requires some amount of acting, putting on a show so to speak.    Just as the client keeps their personal information close, providers have things that we keep separate from our work life.  Some of us have an entirely different persona when we work.  For others, (like myself) there is not a huge difference between our civilian persona and our "stage" persona.  

I started this career because it is something that I truly enjoy.  I love the company of men! I am an outgoing and sensual woman.  I like to dress up for dates, to be desired, and to participate fully in all of the activities that this career allows.  I like variety, adventure, and new experiences.  I am not the kind of girl that fits in a standard relationship with all the demands and expectations that come along with it. I am truly a no-strings girlfriend.

At the same time, I have a "real" civilian job.  I have civilian friends and family that are not aware of this career choice.  I am not ashamed of this choice by any means.  But I know not everyone would understand or agree with it.  So there has to be some degree of secrecy.
